Universal input, analog retransmit
The Omron E5DC-CX0ABM-015 is a DIN-rail temperature controller that accepts RTD and ten thermocouple types (B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W) plus 0–20 mA and 0–10 VDC process signals, covering a span from -200°C up to 2300°C. The analog output retransmits the process value or setpoint as a linear current or voltage signal to a chart recorder, PLC analog input, or remote display — useful when you need to log the loop outside the controller's own Modbus network.
DIN-rail fit and spring terminals
The LCD shows two rows of four characters each: the upper row displays the process value in 8.50 mm digits, the lower row shows the setpoint in 8.00 mm digits. Dual-color backlighting (green or amber) can be assigned to alarm status, so a glance from across the panel tells you which loop is in trouble.
RS-485 and control logic
The built-in RS-485 port speaks both Modbus RTU and Omron's CompoWay/F protocol, so it joins a PLC network without a protocol converter. Control method is selectable between on/off and full PID with auto-tune — the PID loop is what you'd expect from an Omron -class controller: it handles most thermal processes (ovens, extruder barrels, packaging seal bars) without overshoot once tuned. The supply range is 100–240 VAC, so it runs on any standard single-phase line worldwide without a tap change.
