DIN-rail PID with analog output and Modbus
The Omron E5DC-CX0ASM-015 is a DIN-rail-mount process and temperature controller that accepts RTD and thermocouple types B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W, plus 0-20 mA and 0-10 VDC linear inputs, covering a span from -200°C to 2300°C. It outputs a linear analog signal rather than relay or SSR-drive pulses, making it the pick when the downstream device — a valve positioner, a SCR power controller, or a chart recorder — expects a 4-20 mA or 0-10 VDC setpoint. On/Off or PID control method is selectable per loop, and the RS-485 port (CompoWay/F or Modbus) lets a PLC or SCADA read the PV, write the SP, and tune the PID terms without opening the panel door.
Panel fit and supply wiring
Screw-terminal termination on a DIN-rail body means it clips into the same 35 mm rail as the rest of the panel controls — no panel cutout, no bezel, no NEMA 4X hole to punch. Rated for 100-240 VAC supply, so it runs directly off the panel control transformer without a separate 24 VDC power supply; the dual-color LCD backlight shows PV and SP on two 4-character rows readable at a glance. IP20 rating means it belongs inside a clean, dry enclosure — not on the machine frame exposed to washdown or dust.
