DIN-rail process controller with universal input
The Omron E5DC-CX2ABM-000 is a DIN-rail-mounted process temperature controller accepting RTD and thermocouple types B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W, plus 0-20 mA and 0-10 VDC analog signals, covering a span from -200°C to 2300°C. Its dual output stage combines one analog output with two relay outputs, giving the panel designer a single device that can drive a valve positioner or SCR gate while also switching alarm or event contacts. The 100-240 VAC supply range lets it pull directly from the control transformer without a separate DC power supply, simplifying the panel bill of materials.
Spring terminals and control method
Control method includes on/off and proportional (PID) with auto-tune, so the same part covers simple limit-switch duty and closed-loop temperature regulation on ovens, extruders, or packaging seal bars. The LCD dual-color backlit display shows two rows of four characters each — the upper row at 8.50 mm height for the process value, the lower at 8.00 mm for setpoint or parameter — readable across a control room aisle.
