The Omron E5DC-CX2DSM-015 is a DIN-rail-mount process and temperature controller from the E5DC series, accepting RTD and thermocouple types B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W plus analog signals 0–20 mA and 0–10 VDC across a span of -200°C to 2300°C or the equivalent process range. It ships with dual relay outputs and one analog output, giving you a control loop plus an alarm or retransmission channel without adding an expansion module.
Control and communications
Control method is On/Off or full PID with auto-tune, and the RS-485 port speaks both CompoWay/F and Modbus RTU — no protocol converter needed for a Modbus master. The LCD dual-color backlight and two rows of four characters each show PV and SV simultaneously; character height is 8.50 mm for the top row and 8.00 mm for the bottom, readable at panel distance.
Rated IP20, so keep it inside the cabinet away from washdown.
