DIN-rail temperature controller with dual output
The Omron E5DC-QX2DBM-000 is a DIN-rail-mount process temperature controller from the E5DC series, accepting RTD and thermocouple inputs (Types B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W) as well as 0-20mA and 0-10VDC analog signals. It provides two relay outputs plus a voltage pulse output for driving an external SSR, covering on/off and proportional-integral-derivative (PID) control loops. The dual-color LCD backlit display shows two rows of four characters each, readable in panel environments with ambient light variation.
Input range and control flexibility
The input range spans -200°C to 2300°C for thermocouple/RTD sensors, or 0-20mA / 0-10VDC for process signals. Control method selection between On/Off and PID lets the integrator tune the loop response without swapping hardware; the PID algorithm handles most thermal processes with auto-tuning available. Spring-terminal wiring speeds panel assembly and reduces maintenance torque checks compared to screw terminals — the cage clamps solid or ferruled stranded wire directly.
Supply and environmental limits
Operates on 24VAC/DC supply. Rated IP20 (finger-safe) for dry indoor enclosures; operating range -10°C to 55°C suits most panel environments without forced cooling.
