DIN-Rail Temperature Controller with Universal Inputs
The Omron E5DC-QX2DSM-002 is a DIN-rail-mounted process and temperature controller that accepts RTD (Pt100), thermocouple types B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W, plus 0–20 mA and 0–10 VDC linear inputs — covering the full range from -200°C to 2300°C. That means one part number handles most sensor types on a panel, reducing BOM line count for multi-zone temperature control. It runs on 24 VAC/DC and terminates via screw terminals, which is the standard control-voltage supply in industrial panels — no separate power supply needed if your cabinet already has a 24 V bus.
Dual Relay Outputs Plus SSR Drive
The controller provides two relay outputs and a voltage output for an external SSR. The relay pair handles alarm or on/off control loops; the voltage output drives a solid-state relay for PID-based proportional heating or cooling without the relay contacts wearing out under fast cycling.
RS-485 Modbus for Panel Integration
The built-in RS-485 port supports both CompoWay/F and Modbus protocols, so the E5DC-QX2DSM-002 talks directly to a PLC or SCADA host over a standard serial bus. This is the typical way to read process values and setpoint changes without running individual analog wires back to the controller. The dual-color LCD backlight shows four characters per row in two rows — the operator sees the process value and setpoint simultaneously, with color change indicating alarm status.
