Controller type and input flexibility
The E5DC-RX2ASM-017 is a DIN-rail-mount process and temperature controller accepting RTD, thermocouple types B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W, plus 0-20 mA and 0-10 VDC linear signals — one unit covers both temperature loops and analog process variables without a separate signal conditioner. Input range spans -200°C to 2300°C for thermocouples, matching furnace, oven, and extruder profiles; the 0-20 mA and 0-10 VDC ranges handle pressure, flow, or level transmitters in the same slot.
Outputs and control logic for multi-zone loops
Three relay outputs let the controller drive a contactor for heating, a second for cooling, and a third for alarm or event-triggered shutdown — no external interposing relay needed for the third function. Heater fault detection monitors current draw on the load side and flags a broken heater element before the process drifts. Control method is selectable between on/off and proportional (PID) with auto-tune — the PID loop handles thermal lag in ovens and baths without overshoot at setpoint.
Panel fit and supply voltage
Universal 100-240 VAC supply means the same part number works on 110 V or 220 V line feeds without a voltage selector or external transformer — simplifies spares stocking for plants with mixed line voltages.
