DIN-rail temperature controller with three relay outputs
The Omron E5DC-RX2DSM-600 is a DIN-rail-mounted process temperature controller from the E5DC-600 series, accepting RTD, thermocouple (Types B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W), 0–20 mA, and 0–10 VDC inputs across a -200°C to 2300°C range. It runs on a 24 VAC/DC supply and provides three relay outputs for on/off or proportional (PID) control, with a built-in limit function for over-temperature protection.
The three relay outputs let you drive a heater contactor, a cooling fan contactor, and an alarm or event output from a single controller — that's one less SKU on the BOM compared to a two-relay variant. The dual-color LCD shows process value (0.334" / 8.50 mm) and setpoint (0.314" / 8.00 mm) simultaneously, with four characters per row — readable from a few feet away on a panel door. Screw terminals and IP20 rating mean it lives inside a control cabinet, not on the machine face — standard for DIN-rail controllers in a dry enclosure.
