Universal input, mixed output architecture
The Omron E5EC-CC4D5M-005 accepts RTD, thermocouple types B/E/J/K/L/N/PLII/R/S/T/U/W, plus 0-20mA and 0-10VDC analog signals — covering virtually every industrial temperature sensor and process transmitter in a single panel-mount controller. Its output stage combines two analog outputs (for retransmission or valve positioning) with four relay outputs for on/off or alarm duties — a configuration that suits applications needing both a process variable retransmit and discrete control or alarm annunciation.
The controller mounts into a standard 92.00mm x 45.00mm rectangular panel cutout and secures with screw terminals — no special tooling or DIN-rail adapter needed. The IP66 front-panel seal means the display and keypad withstand washdown spray and dust ingress, making it suitable for food, beverage, and pharmaceutical production floors where hose-down cleaning is routine.
Control modes and display feedback
On/Off and proportional-integral-derivative (PID) control methods are selectable, with the tri-color LCD backlight providing at-a-glance status — green for normal operation, red for alarm, or custom color assignment per process condition. Three rows of four characters each display the process value, setpoint, and a third parameter simultaneously, with character heights of 0.710", 0.433", and 0.307" for readability across a control room or machine-side panel.
