Panel fit and supply voltage
The Omron E5EC-CC4D5M-013 is a panel-mount process and temperature controller that fits a rectangular 92.00mm x 45.00mm cutout. It runs on 24VAC/DC, so if your panel has a 24V control transformer or DC bus, you can power it direct without a separate 100-240VAC tap. The front face carries an IP66 rating — dust-tight and water-resistant — which means it handles washdown splashes or a wet glove reaching for the buttons on a lube route.
What it reads and what it drives
This controller accepts RTD, thermocouple (types B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W), and process signals (0-20mA, 0-10VDC) across a span from -200°C up to 2300°C. So yes, it works with a type K thermocouple — that's one of the supported types. The output side gives you two analog outputs and four relay outputs. The analog channels can drive a SCR or valve positioner; the relays handle on/off stages or alarm annunciation. Control method is selectable between On/Off and proportional (PID). A tri-color LCD backlight with four characters per row (three rows) shows process value, setpoint, and status at a glance. The character heights step from 0.710" down to 0.307" per row, so the top row is readable from across a cabinet.
