Sensor lineup and input flexibility
The E5EC-CX4D5M-005: Accepts RTD and 13 thermocouple types (B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W) plus 0–20 mA and 0–10 VDC process signals — covers the full range of common industrial temperature sensors and linear transmitters in one unit. Input span runs from -200°C to 2300°C depending on sensor type, so the same controller handles cryogenic freezer zones and furnace exhaust ducts without a hardware swap.
Outputs and control logic
Four outputs — one analog and three relay — let the controller drive a heater SSR, an alarm relay, and a cooling valve or secondary alarm simultaneously from a single PID loop. Control method selects between on/off and proportional (PID) with auto-tune, so the same part can run a simple tank heater or a precision oven profile. The event input lets a PLC or limit switch override the control setpoint or trigger a hold — useful for interlocking the controller with a safety door or batch sequence.
IP66 front-panel seal means the controller withstands washdown spray from hose-down cleaning cycles in food and beverage lines. Operating temperature range of -10°C to 55°C covers most indoor control panels and outdoor enclosures with minimal solar gain.
Supply voltage and termination
Runs on 24 VAC or 24 VDC — one controller works in both AC-powered panels and DC-distributed control cabinets without a separate power supply module. Screw-terminal termination is the standard for panel wiring; no special crimp tool or ferrule required for field hookup.
