Six relay outputs and universal input for process loops
The Omron E5EC-PR4A5M-014 is a panel-mount process and temperature controller that accepts RTD, thermocouple (Types B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W), 0-20 mA, and 0-10 VDC inputs across a range of -200°C to 2300°C or the corresponding process signal span. It provides six relay outputs — enough to drive a heating/cooling pair plus alarms, event sequencing, or a secondary zone without adding an expansion module. The RS-485 port supports both CompoWay/F and Modbus RTU protocols, so it drops into a PLC-based line or a SCADA network with the same wiring as any other Modbus slave.
The controller mounts in a rectangular panel cutout 92.00 mm x 45.00 mm — the standard 1/4 DIN footprint — and terminates via screw terminals, so no special crimp tooling is needed for field wiring. The front panel carries an IP66 rating, meaning it withstands hose-down cleaning in food, beverage, or pharmaceutical lines without a separate cover. Operating ambient range is -10°C to 55°C; the tri-color LCD backlight and 18.00 mm display characters remain readable under plant-floor lighting.
