Six relay outputs and universal input
The E5EC-PR4D5M-014 accepts RTD and 13 thermocouple types plus 0–20 mA or 0–10 VDC process signals, covering a span from -200°C to 2300°C. That means one controller handles both temperature loops and analog process inputs — no separate signal conditioner needed. Six relay outputs give you headroom for a heat/cool pair, a process alarm, and two spare contacts — enough for a dual-loop or cascade configuration without an external relay expander.
RS-485 with Modbus and event input
RS-485 supports both CompoWay/F and Modbus protocols, so it drops into existing PLC or SCADA networks without a protocol gateway. The event input lets a remote dry contact latch the output, switch setpoints, or reset alarms — useful for a safety interlock or recipe change. Control method is selectable between on/off and full PID with autotune, so the same part works for simple tank level or a precision oven profile.
Panel fit and washdown rating
Panel cutout is 92.00 mm x 45.00 mm — the standard 1/8 DIN footprint. Screw terminals mean no special crimp tooling on the line. IP66 on the front panel means it survives hose-down cleaning in food, pharma, or washdown areas. Supply voltage is 24 VAC/DC, matching the common control transformer or DC bus in most panels. Operating range is -10°C to 55°C, fine for an unventilated cabinet as long as it's not right above a heat source.
