The E5EC-QR2ASM-808: RS-485 brings the process values and setpoints into a host network — CompoWay/F or Modbus, selectable via configuration. The tri-color LCD shows three rows of four characters, sized at 18 mm, 11 mm, and 7.8 mm respectively.

Heater Fault Detection – What It Costs and Saves

Heater fault detection uses a current transformer (sold separately) to measure load current against a threshold. If the heater burns out or the SSR fails short, the controller flags an alarm. This feature is present on the lead variant and missing on the 4-relay E5EC-QX4A5M-009, which trades it for a fourth relay and an event input.
