The Omron E5EC-RR2ABM-808 is a panel-mount temperature controller from the E5EC series, accepting inputs from RTDs and a wide range of thermocouples (Types B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W) as well as 0–20 mA and 0–10 VDC analog signals. Its input range spans -200°C to 2300°C, covering cryogenic to high-temperature furnace applications. Six relay outputs give it the capacity to drive multiple loads — heaters, alarms, or auxiliary contactors — without external interposing relays for light loads. The RS-485 port enables Modbus RTU communication for integration with a PLC or SCADA system.
The six relay outputs are rated for resistive loads; each relay can switch up to 3 A at 250 VAC typically (per Omron's standard E5EC relay specs). That means you can directly drive small contactors, solenoid valves, or indicator lamps — but for larger inductive loads, use the relay to pilot a contactor.
