What the E5EC-RR2ASM-800 brings to a panel
The Omron E5EC-RR2ASM-800 is a panel-mount temperature controller from the E5EC series, built for process loops where you need six relay outputs and heater fault detection in one package. It accepts inputs from RTD and thirteen thermocouple types (B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W) plus 0–20 mA or 0–10 VDC analog signals, covering the full range from -200 °C to 2300 °C. Six relay outputs give you independent control channels for heating, cooling, alarms, or event sequencing without adding external relay packs. The built-in heater fault detection monitors current draw on the load and flags a broken heater element or SSR short — a common failure mode in electric ovens, extruders, and packaging seal bars that otherwise runs unnoticed until product quality drifts.
Panel cutout is rectangular, 92.00 mm × 45.00 mm — the standard 1/4 DIN footprint that drops into existing punch-outs without adapter plates. Supply voltage is 100–240 VAC, so it runs directly on line power without an external control transformer.
