Controller type and sensor compatibility
The E5EC-RR4D5M-009 is a process and temperature controller accepting inputs from RTD, thermocouple types B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, and W, plus analog signals 0-20mA and 0-10VDC. The input range spans -200°C to 2300°C for thermocouple types, covering most industrial heating and cooling loops.
Control outputs and fieldbus integration
Six relay outputs provide discrete control for heating, cooling, alarm, or event functions. The RS-485 port supports CompoWay/F and Modbus protocols, allowing direct integration into a PLC or SCADA network without an external gateway. Control methods include On/Off and full PID with autotune, suitable for thermal processes where proportional band and integral time need field adjustment.
Panel fit and environmental sealing
Panel mount with a rectangular cutout of 92.00mm x 45.00mm. The IP66-rated front bezel is dust-tight and water-resistant, so the controller can be mounted on a washdown panel face without a separate cover. Screw terminal connections on the rear accept standard control wiring; the 24VAC/DC supply allows the same controller to work in AC or DC-powered cabinets without a separate power supply module.

Event input and heater fault detection are built-in features, reducing the need for external monitoring relays in heater-break applications.
