Panel fit and sensor flexibility
The Omron E5EC-RX2DBM-000 is a panel-mount temperature controller that accepts RTD and 13 thermocouple types (B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W) plus 0-20mA and 0-10VDC linear inputs, covering the range -200°C to 2300°C. That means one SKU handles everything from a -200°C cryo bath to a 2300°C furnace thermocouple — no need to stock separate units for J vs K vs RTD.
Supply voltage and termination
Runs on 24VAC/DC — common in industrial panels where 24V is already bussed for PLC I/O and sensors. The spring-terminal wiring block accepts solid or ferruled stranded wire; no screwdriver needed for termination, which speeds up panel build and eliminates screw torque issues on vibration. Panel cutout is 92mm x 45mm, the standard 1/4 DIN size. IP66 rating on the front panel means it withstands washdown spray — suitable for food processing or outdoor enclosures where the controller face is exposed to hose-down cleaning.
