Panel fit and wiring
The E5EC-RX2DBM-011: Mounts in a standard 1/8 DIN cutout — 92.00 mm x 45.00 mm rectangular hole — and the spring terminals accept solid or ferruled stranded wire without needing a screwdriver. The 24 VAC/DC supply means it can share a common control transformer with PLCs and sensors, keeping the panel wiring clean. The IP66-rated front bezel seals against washdown spray, so this controller can live on the panel door in food, beverage, or chemical processing lines without an extra cover.
What the inputs and outputs actually do
Accepts RTD, thermocouple types B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W, plus 0–20 mA and 0–10 VDC linear signals — covers the vast majority of process sensors without needing signal conditioners. The four relay outputs can be assigned as on/off or PID control loops, alarms, or heater fault indication. Heater fault detection works by monitoring the load current through an external CT; the controller flags a broken heater or SSR short before the process drifts out of spec.
Lifecycle and sourcing
The tri-color LCD shows up to three rows (4 characters each) with different heights for the main PV, SV, and status text, so operators can read the process value from across the panel.
