What the inputs and outputs mean for your panel
The Omron E5EC-RX4A5M-011 accepts RTD, thermocouple (types B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W), 4-20 mA, and 0-10 VDC signals — so it handles nearly any temperature sensor or process transmitter you'd throw at it without swapping the unit. Five relay outputs give you independent control loops, alarm annunciation, or heater-break signalling without needing an external relay bank. That's one more relay than the four-output sibling E5EC-QX4A5M-011, which trades a relay for a voltage pulse to drive an external SSR.
Panel cutout is 92 mm x 45 mm — standard 1/4 DIN horizontal. The IP66 front rating means it handles washdown splashes and dust in food, beverage, or chemical environments; the screw terminals are on the rear, so the wiring compartment stays dry as long as the panel seal is intact. Supply is 100-240 VAC, universal for most plant power.
