Controller input flexibility and the five-relay output bank
The E5EC-RX4A5M-5800U accepts RTD and ten thermocouple types (B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W) plus 0-20 mA or 0-10 VDC process signals, covering a span from -200°C to 2300°C — the same universal input stage across the E5EC family, so one BOM line covers both temperature and linear process loops. Five relay outputs give you independent control, alarm, or retransmission channels; the tri-color LCD shows three rows of four characters each, with the largest digits at 0.710" (18.00 mm) for at-a-glance process value reading across a panel aisle. The supplied starter kit includes the controller, a configuration cable, and setup software — a time-saver for first commissioning and FAT, since the cable and software are otherwise separate line items.
Panel integration and washdown rating
Panel cutout is 92.00 mm x 45.00 mm — the standard 1/4 DIN footprint shared across the E5EC series — so it drops into existing punch patterns without rework. IP66 rating on the front panel means the controller withstands hose-down cleaning; the screw terminals on the rear accept field wiring without a special tool, and the 100-240 VAC supply range covers global line voltages without a tap change.
