The E5EC-TCX4D5M-022 is a current-production, single-loop process and temperature controller that accepts RTD, twelve thermocouple types (B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W), plus 0–20 mA or 0–10 VDC linear inputs. It drives an analog output (for continuous control to an SSR or valve positioner) and up to four relay outputs, giving you both modulating control and discrete alarm/event contacts in one panel slot. Communications are handled by the built-in RS-485 port, talkng Modbus or CompoWay/F at the protocol level. That means you can pull setpoints, process values, and tuning parameters over the same two wires that run to the PLC or SCADA—no separate gateway card required. The screw-terminal connection block is standard for this class; no special tools needed for field termination.
Mounting and sourcing reality
Panel cutout is rectangular, 92.00 mm × 45.00 mm, with the controller secured via the supplied mounting bracket. Operating range is –10 to 55 °C; the IP66 front seal means it holds up to hose-down environments as long as the gasket sits flush against the panel face.
