The Omron E5EC-TQQ4D5M-010 is a panel-mount process and temperature controller from the E5EC-T series, accepting inputs from RTDs and a wide range of thermocouples (Types B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W) plus analog signals up to 20 mA or 10 VDC. It runs on a 24 VAC/DC supply — handy for control panels where you've already got a 24 VDC bus and don't want to pull a separate 100-240 VAC line for the controller. The front panel carries an IP66 rating, dust-tight and resistant to washdown. That means it'll survive the splashes and hose-downs you see on food, beverage, or chemical process lines — not just a dry cabinet controller.
Outputs and control
You get four relay outputs and two voltage outputs for driving external SSRs. The relay bank handles direct switching of contactors, alarms, or solenoid valves; the voltage outputs let you fire solid-state relays for faster, cycle-free heater control. Control method covers On/Off or full PID — so it'll handle everything from a simple oven to a multi-zone extruder barrel. Built-in event input and heater fault detection are part of the package. The event input can latch a remote start/hold or recipe-select signal; the heater fault detection monitors current draw on the load side and flags a broken heater element before the process drifts.
Panel fit and display
The panel cutout is 92.00 mm x 45.00 mm — a standard 1/4 DIN footprint. It'll drop into existing cutouts without panel rework. The LCD shows three rows of four characters each, with tri-color backlighting (you can set the color per status — green for run, red for alarm, etc.). Character heights step from 18.00 mm on the top row down to 7.80 mm on the bottom, so the process value is easy to read from across the line.
