Four-relay output with SSR drive — what the wiring diagram expects
The E5EC-TQX4A5M-000 carries four relay outputs plus a voltage pulse output for driving an external SSR. That means you get independent alarm, event, or control outputs on the relays while the SSR output handles the heating element directly — no need for an interposing relay on the PID loop. Input range covers -200°C to 2300°C across thermocouple types B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W and RTD, plus 0-20 mA or 0-10 VDC process signals. One controller handles both temperature and linear process loops without a separate signal conditioner.
Panel cutout and IP66 — fits the washdown zone
The 92.00 mm x 45.00 mm rectangular cutout matches the standard 1/4 DIN footprint — drops into existing panel punches without adapter plates. Screw-terminal connections on the rear mean no special crimp tooling for field wiring. IP66 rating on the front panel means the controller survives hose-down cleaning in food, beverage, or pharmaceutical lines. The seal is between the bezel and the panel gasket, not the housing threads — verify the panel surface is flat and the gasket seats evenly before tightening the mounting brackets.
Active production — no LTB pressure on this BOM line
Lifecycle status is active per the manufacturer — no last-time-buy notice, no end-of-life clock running. The tri-color LCD backlight shows four characters per row across three rows — 0.710", 0.433", and 0.307" character heights. The largest row is readable from across a panel for at-a-glance process value monitoring.
