Panel-mount controller with mixed output flexibility
The Omron E5EC-TQX4A5M-008 is a 1/8 DIN process and temperature controller from the E5EC-T series, accepting RTD, thermocouple (B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W), 0–20 mA, and 0–10 VDC inputs across a span of -200°C to 2300°C. Its output stage combines four relay outputs with a voltage pulse output for driving an external SSR, giving you a mix of on-off or PID control for heating/cooling loops plus event or alarm signaling without adding a separate output module. The front panel carries an IP66 rating, so the display and keypad survive washdown environments — useful in food, beverage, or pharmaceutical lines where hose-down cleaning is routine.
RS-485 Modbus RTU for integration
RS-485 communication supports both Omron CompoWay/F and Modbus RTU protocols, so it talks directly to a PLC or SCADA host without a protocol converter. The tri-color LCD backlight shows three rows of four characters each (18 mm, 11 mm, and 7.8 mm character heights), making process value, setpoint, and status readable from across a panel. Screw-terminal wiring on the rear — no special crimp tooling needed; the 92 mm × 45 mm rectangular cutout matches the standard 1/8 DIN panel opening.
