Six relay outputs and heater fault detection
The relay bank handles on/off or PID control loops directly. Built-in heater fault detection monitors the load current and flags a broken heater element or open circuit before the process drifts. The event input can trigger a preset PID setpoint change or a hold on the control loop, useful for batch changeovers or manual override during maintenance.
Input range and sensor compatibility
The controller accepts RTD and twelve thermocouple types (B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W) covering -200°C to 2300°C, plus 0-20mA and 0-10VDC analog signals. That means it can replace a dedicated temperature controller or serve as a universal process indicator for pressure, level, or flow transmitters with a 4-20mA loop. The tri-color LCD backlight shows three rows of four characters each — the 18.00mm top row is readable from across a panel. Operators can assign colors (red, green, orange) to alarm states or process deviations so a glance confirms the loop status without scrolling.
The standard 92mm x 45mm rectangular cutout matches the E5EC family footprint — no panel rework if replacing an earlier E5EC or E5CC unit. The IP66 front seal keeps washdown spray and dust out of the electronics; the screw terminals accept up to 14 AWG for the power and output wiring. Rated for 100-240VAC supply and -10°C to 55°C ambient. The operating range covers most indoor control panels; if the panel sees condensation, the IP66 bezel keeps moisture away from the terminal block.
