The E5EC-TRR4DA5M-019 is a 1/4 DIN panel-mount controller accepting the standard 92.00 mm x 45.00 mm cutout — drops into the same hole as any E5EC-family unit without re-punching the panel. It handles both temperature sensors (RTD and thermocouple types B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W) and process signals (0–20 mA, 0–10 VDC) across a range from -200°C to 2300°C, so one part number covers a mixed-sensor line without swapping modules. The 24 VAC/DC supply matches the common control transformer voltage found in most panels — no need to run a separate 100-240 VAC feed just for the controller.
Six relay outputs — what they drive
Six relay outputs give you direct switching for contactors, solenoid valves, or alarm circuits without interposing solid-state relays. Each output is isolated and screw-terminated — no special tooling needed at the panel build. The control method includes On/Off and full PID with auto-tune, so the same controller handles simple tank-level switching or tight temperature loops on an oven or extruder barrel. Built-in heater fault detection monitors the load current via a CT input — catches a failed heater element before the process drifts out of spec. The event input can latch a remote reset or recipe select without opening the panel door.
IP66 front seal and display readability
The IP66-rated front panel withstands washdown spray — suitable for food, beverage, or pharmaceutical lines where the controller is mounted on the machine face rather than in a sealed cabinet. The tri-color LCD backlight with three character heights (18.00 mm, 11.00 mm, 7.80 mm) shows the process value, set point, and status simultaneously across three rows of four digits each. Operators read the PV from across the line without squinting. Operating range is -10°C to 55°C — fine for a panel on the plant floor; no derating needed in a typical conditioned enclosure.
