Universal input, five relay outputs
The Omron E5EC-TRX4D5M-010 is a panel-mount process and temperature controller that accepts a wide range of sensor inputs: RTD, thermocouple types B, E, J, K, L, N, PLII, R, S, T, U, W, plus 0–20 mA and 0–10 VDC process signals. This single unit covers everything from cryogenic RTD work to high-temperature furnace control up to 2300°C without needing a signal conditioner. It provides five relay outputs for direct switching of heaters, contactors, solenoid valves, or alarm annunciators. The relay count is higher than the typical 2- or 3-output controller, making it suitable for applications that need independent heat/cool control plus event or alarm outputs without an external relay expansion module.
24 VAC/DC supply, IP66 front, event input
The controller runs on a 24 VAC/DC supply, which simplifies panel wiring in systems that already use 24 V control power — no separate 100–240 VAC tap needed. The IP66-rated front panel withstands washdown in food, beverage, or pharmaceutical lines; the screw-terminal rear connection is standard for panel wiring. Built-in event input and heater fault detection allow the controller to monitor external switches (e.g., door interlocks, start signals) and detect broken heater loads via current transformer feedback, reducing the need for a separate PLC input module for these functions.
