Mounting and guarding context
It is designed for mounting at the point of entry to a machine cell, press, or robotic work envelope. As a safety-rated device, its installation must comply with the risk-assessment-determined Performance Level (PL) or Safety Integrity Level (SIL) per ISO 13849-1 or IEC 62061. The sensing range, resolution, and response time — all specified in the datasheet — dictate the minimum mounting distance from the hazard per the formula in ISO 13855.
