The 14 mm resolution means it reliably detects fingers reaching into the guarded area, meeting the finger-protection requirements of IEC 61496-1 for applications where personnel access must be prevented before a hazardous motion can start.

The F3SG-4RR1840-14 ships in a Box package — the emitter and receiver bars, cabling, and mounting brackets are included. Mounting uses the standard T-slot profile common to the F3SG series, so existing guardrail or stand-off hardware from a previous Omron curtain installs without adapters. The controller interface is a standard OSSD pair (two PNP safety outputs); verify that your safety relay or safety PLC accepts 24 VDC OSSD signals before wiring.
