The F3SG-4SRB1760-25 is an active-production safety light curtain from Omron's F3SG-SR series, built for hand protection with a 25mm detection capability. It projects 88 beams at a 20mm pitch across a 1760mm protective height, covering access openings up to that height. The 0.3m to 20.0m operating range gives flexibility for both tight machine guarding and longer perimeter setups.
The 25mm detection capability means it catches fingers reaching into the hazard zone (finger-protection class per IEC 61496-1). The 1760mm protective height and 20mm beam pitch together define the guarded area: 88 beams spaced 20mm apart cover the full height, so any opaque object 25mm or larger breaks at least one beam. That 0.3m minimum range allows mounting close to the hazard, while the 20m maximum covers longer distances without a separate extension module.

Rated IP65/IP67/IP67G means the sensor body and optics withstand washdown environments — dust-tight, protected against temporary immersion (IP67), and with added oil resistance (IP67G). That makes it suitable for food-and-bev lines or machining centers where coolant spray is constant.
