The Omron F3SG-4SRB1840-25 is a type-4 safety light curtain from the F3SG-SR series, built for hand protection with a 25 mm detection capability. The 1840 mm protective height and 20 mm beam pitch (92 beams total) cover a tall access area — think large machine cells or conveyor in-feed zones where a shorter curtain would leave a gap. Operating range spans 0.3 m to 20.0 m, so you can mount the emitter and receiver across a wide aisle without losing resolution. Runs on 24 VDC, rated for -30°C to 55°C ambient, and carries IP65/IP67/IP67G ingress protection — the IP67G suffix means it withstands oil exposure and high-pressure washdown, which matters on food or machining lines where coolant and cleaning agents are routine. Blanking and muting functions are built in, so you can program fixed obstructions (brackets, part fixtures) and temporarily bypass the curtain during material feed cycles without external safety modules.
