The Omron F3SG4SRB152025K is a Type 4 safety light curtain from the F3SG-SRB series, built for guarding hazards where a 20 mm detection capability is needed — think finger protection per IEC 61496-1. Its 92 beams cover a 1,520 mm protected height, and it reaches out to 16 m between emitter and receiver, which gives you room to wrap the guard around a larger machine cell without relocating the columns. Runs on 24 V DC with safety outputs rated at 300 mA, so it can drive a standard safety relay or PLC input card directly. The auxiliary output is configurable as NPN or PNP, which saves you a signal converter if the rest of the panel is one type or the other. Response time ranges from 8 ms minimum to 13 ms maximum.
Built for washdown environments
IP69K rating means the housing and optics can handle high-pressure, high-temperature washdown cycles typical in food processing, beverage lines, and pharmaceutical clean-in-place zones. You can mount this directly in the wash zone without a separate protective enclosure, which keeps the machine footprint tight and avoids condensation issues inside a cover.
