What this light curtain does on the line
The Omron F3SJ-A0605P20 is a safety light curtain from the F3SJ-A series, rated for finger and hand protection with a 20mm detection capability. The 15mm beam pitch and 40 beams give it a 605mm protective height. Operating range spans 0.2m to 9.0m, so it works on short-reach stations (think pick-and-place cells) as well as longer conveyor infeed zones. IP65 rating means the housing and optics withstand washdown — suitable for food-and-bev lines where hose-down cleaning is routine. Runs on 24VDC supply, standard for safety circuits in modern panels.
Integration notes
Mounts via standard F3SJ-A end brackets (sold separately) to extruded aluminum profiles or machine frames. Operating temperature range is -10°C to 55°C.
