Its 55 mm detection capability means a person's leg or body entering the field triggers the stop signal — this is not finger or hand protection, so it suits perimeter guarding rather than close-tolerance point-of-operation safeguarding. The 16 beams at a 50 mm pitch create a 770 mm protective height, with an operating range from 0.2 m to 9.0 m. That range covers most machine access zones and conveyor aisles in a typical plant layout. Rated IP65 — dust-tight and protected against water jets — so it holds up in washdown areas or dusty assembly lines without a secondary enclosure.
Given the active status, lead times are standard for the F3SJ-A series — no broker or surplus channel needed.
Installation notes
Runs on 24 VDC supply, which is standard for industrial safety circuits. The IP65 rating means the emitter and receiver housings tolerate direct hose-down cleaning — no need to bag them during plant sanitation shifts. Operating temperature range of -10°C to 55°C covers most indoor factory environments; avoid mounting where ambient exceeds 55°C or where condensation could form inside the optical windows.
