The Omron F3SJ-A0780P25 is a type-4 safety light curtain from the F3SJ-A series, sized for hand protection with a 25 mm detection capability. Its 780 mm protective height and 20 mm beam pitch (39 beams) define a sensing plane that catches a hand or finger reaching into a hazard zone — the 25 mm resolution means it triggers on objects as small as 25 mm diameter, which meets the finger-protection class per IEC 61496-1. Operating range spans 0.2 m to 9.0 m, so it works across a typical machine guard opening or robot cell entry.
Rated IP65 — dust-tight and protected against water jets — so it can be mounted on the frame of a washdown-capable machine or near a conveyor line where occasional hose-down cleaning happens. The 24 VDC supply is standard for safety circuits; blanking and muting functions (listed features) let you mask fixed obstructions or temporarily bypass the curtain during material feed cycles without removing the safety function.
