What This Light Curtain Covers
That 30mm figure means it catches a hand or arm reaching into the hazard zone — finger protection requires a finer 14mm pitch, so this is sized for perimeter guarding around robot cells, press brakes, or assembly stations where a person could reach into the danger area but not thread fingers through. It projects 35 beams at a 25mm pitch across a 870mm protective height, covering a vertical zone from roughly shin to shoulder for a standing operator. The operating range spans 0.2m to 9.0m, which covers most machine guarding distances — close enough for a small press, far enough for a conveyor infeed.
Built-in blanking and muting functions are available on this model. Blanking lets you ignore fixed obstructions (a conveyor frame passing through the field) without disabling the entire curtain. Muting temporarily suspends the safety output during a defined material pass cycle — common on palletizing cells where a forklift enters the guarded zone under controlled conditions. Both are configured through the controller, not hard-wired bypasses.
