What this light curtain does
That 30 mm figure means it catches a hand or forearm reaching into a hazard zone — the standard finger-protection threshold is 14 mm, so this is sized for larger body-part detection where a finer beam isn't needed and false trips from dust or small parts are a concern. It projects 36 beams at a 25 mm pitch across a 895 mm protective height, covering a range from 0.2 m to 9.0 m. Built-in blanking and muting functions let the curtain ignore fixed obstructions (like a conveyor frame) and temporarily bypass during a material pass — that's a feature set you'd normally expect on a higher-tier safety controller. It saves an external safety module for simple muting zones.
