What this light curtain is and what it guards
Its 25mm detection capability means it will catch fingers and hands reaching into a hazard zone, which is the standard for finger and hand safeguarding per IEC 61496. It's built for guarding access to machinery like presses, robots, and assembly stations where a person could get hurt.
The 25mm detection capability and 20mm beam pitch work together: a 25mm object anywhere in the field triggers the curtain. With 47 beams across a 940mm protective height, it covers a standard machine opening. The operating range of 0.2m to 9.0m gives you flexibility to mount it close to the hazard or further back, depending on your machine layout. Rated IP65 - Dust Tight, Water Resistant means the housing keeps out dust and low-pressure water jets. It runs on 24VDC and operates from -10°C to 55°C, which covers most factory floor conditions. It includes Blanking and Muting functions. Blanking lets you ignore fixed obstructions in the field (like a conveyor frame), and Muting temporarily suspends the curtain during a material pass. These are set up at commissioning, not hardwired.
Mounts to standard machine guarding frames or stands. The 940mm protective height matches up with typical access openings on press brakes, assembly palletizers, and packaging machines. IP65 means it can live on a washdown line without a secondary enclosure. Power it with 24VDC and connect the outputs to your safety relay or safety PLC.
