Safety Light Curtain for Finger/Hand Detection
With a 20mm detection capability, it catches fingers reaching into the hazard zone (finger-protection class per IEC 61496-1/2). The 1025mm protective height and 68 beams at 15mm pitch create a detection plane that covers the full height of the guarded opening. Operating range spans 0.2m to 9.0m, giving flexibility for both tight machine guarding and wider perimeter setups.
Integration Notes
The light curtain supports blanking and muting functions, which are critical for allowing material to pass through the guarded area without triggering a stop. Blanking lets you disable specific beams for fixed obstructions; muting temporarily suspends the curtain during a defined material feed cycle. Both are configurable via the controller, not hardwired, so you can adjust them during commissioning without rewiring. Mounting alignment is straightforward: the emitter and receiver pair must be aligned within the specified beam pitch tolerance. The IP65 enclosure handles washdown, but ensure the connector and cable entry are also sealed — use the manufacturer's recommended mating connectors to maintain the rating.
