Safety Light Curtain for Hand Protection
Its 20mm beam pitch and 59 beams create a protective field 1180mm high, covering access points where a hand reaching into a hazard zone must be caught before the machine can cycle — the 25mm detection capability is the spec that decides fit for hand-protection applications per IEC 61496-1. Operating range spans 0.2m to 9.0m, giving flexibility for short-reach guarding (near the point of operation) up to longer perimeter coverage across a machine cell.
Integration Notes
Blank and mute functions are built in — blanking allows fixed obstructions (brackets, chutes) in the field without disabling the whole curtain; muting suspends the safety output during a material pass (pallet through a conveyor opening). Both are configured via the controller, not the sensor head. Supply is 24VDC; the emitter and receiver pair require a separate safety controller or a compatible safety PLC input module to evaluate the OSSD outputs. Standard DIN-rail mounting brackets are available for panel integration.
