What this light curtain does on the line
That 30 mm figure is the minimum object size it reliably catches — anything smaller passes through, so this is the spec that decides whether it guards a hand-access hazard or a finger-access one. With 50 beams at a 25 mm pitch, it creates a detection plane 1245 mm tall, covering a typical reach zone around a press brake or assembly station. Operating range spans 0.2 m to 9.0 m, which means the emitter and receiver can be placed across a conveyor or machine opening up to 9 meters apart. It runs on 24 VDC, standard for safety circuits, and carries IP65 rating — dust-tight and protected against water jets, so it holds up in washdown areas or dusty assembly lines.
Built-in blanking and muting
This curtain supports blanking and muting functions. Blanking lets you optically bypass fixed obstructions (like a part fixture) within the detection field without disabling the whole curtain. Muting temporarily suspends the safety output when a workpiece enters on a conveyor, so the line doesn't fault on every pallet. These are configurable features that save having to add external bypass relays or a separate safety controller for material-handling applications.
