The Omron F3SJ-A1820P25-TS is a Type 4 safety light curtain from the F3SJ-A series, designed for hand protection in hazardous machine zones. Its 25 mm detection capability means it reliably catches a hand or finger reaching into the guarded area, triggering a stop signal before contact. The 20 mm beam pitch and 91 beams give it a 1820 mm protective height, covering a wide vertical opening on a press, robot cell, or assembly station. The operating range spans 0.2 m to 7.0 m, so it works for both tight machine guarding and longer reach across a conveyor or gantry. IP65 rating means the housing and optics resist washdown and dust ingress — it's suited for food processing lines or machining centers where coolant mist and washdown cycles are routine. It runs on 24 VDC, standard for safety circuits, and includes blanking and muting functions. Blanking lets you mask fixed obstructions (like a machine frame) within the field; muting allows the curtain to be temporarily overridden during a material pass-through, which is common on palletizing or packaging lines.
