The Omron F3SJ-A2380P25-TS is a Type 4 safety light curtain from the F3SJ-A series, built for hand protection at machine access points. Its 25 mm detection capability means it catches a hand or finger reaching into the hazard zone — that is the finger-protection class per IEC 61496-1, not just presence detection. With 119 beams spaced at 20 mm pitch, the curtain covers a protective height of 2380 mm, enough to guard a full standing-height opening on a press brake, assembly station, or robotic cell. Operating range spans 0.2 m to 7.0 m, which suits most machine guarding layouts — close-in for small benchtop stations, out to seven metres for a large press or conveyor infeed. Built-in blanking and muting functions allow the curtain to ignore fixed obstructions (like a workpiece support) or temporarily bypass during a material feed cycle. That saves adding external bypass relays or a separate safety PLC for common automated loading sequences.
