What it is and what it does
The Omron G2RV-SR701 DC24 is a 6 mm wide industrial relay with a 24 VDC coil, SPDT contact arrangement, and screw terminals. It switches up to 6 A resistive at 250 VAC or 6 A at 30 VDC, with a maximum switching voltage of 440 VAC and 125 VDC. The LED and mechanical flag indicator give you both a quick visual and a latched status check — useful when the panel door is closed and you need to confirm coil state without a meter.
What the ratings mean for your panel
The 6 A resistive rating at 250 VAC covers most pilot-duty solenoid valves, contactor coils, and indicator lamps inside a control cabinet. The minimum load spec of 10 mA at 5 VDC tells you this relay can switch dry circuits — think PLC digital inputs or low-power signal loops — without needing a wetting current. The –40 to +55°C operating range means it lives comfortably in unheated enclosures or near ovens, as long as the ambient stays under 55°C.
Integration note
At 6 mm wide, this relay packs into high-density terminal blocks or slim relay racks. The screw terminals accept up to 2.5 mm² wire; torque to 0.5 Nm. The LED is polarity-sensitive — observe the DC+ and DC– markings on the coil terminals. The mechanical flag latches when the coil is energized, so you can read the relay state even with power off.
