The Omron G3PE-545B-3N is a three-phase solid-state contactor built for resistive heater loads — 45 A per phase, 200 to 480 VAC. The zero-cross function turns on at the AC voltage zero point, which keeps electrical noise low and extends heater life.
The 45 A rating at 200 to 480 VAC is the continuous load the SSR can handle — sized for a three-phase heater bank drawing that current. The 12 to 24 VDC input is what the PLC or controller drives; it's optically isolated via a phototriac coupler, so the low-voltage control side stays separate from the power side. Dielectric strength of 2,500 VAC for one minute between input and output confirms that isolation holds up in a panel environment.
Mounting and environment notes
DIN track mounting is the standard fit, but it also accepts screw mounting. Vibration resistance for DIN track is 10 to 55 Hz, 0.175 mm single amplitude; screw mounting handles 0.375 mm single amplitude. Ambient operating temperature runs -30 to 80°C, so it lives comfortably inside a warm panel next to heaters or contactors. Shock resistance is 294 m/s² in standard orientation, 98 m/s² reverse-mounted.
