Heater fault detection — what it means on the line
The built-in heater fault detection monitors current draw on each of the four output channels. If a heater element opens or degrades, the controller flags the fault before the process drifts out of tolerance. For a multi-zone oven or extruder barrel, that means catching a failed zone during warm-up rather than after a scrap batch. The detection threshold is set within the unit's configuration; per the datasheet, it compares actual current against the expected value programmed during commissioning.
