The Omron G3ZA-4H403-FLK-UTU is a G3ZA series power controller delivering four solid-state voltage outputs to drive external SSRs — meaning it handles up to four independent heater zones from a single unit, with each output switching the external SSR gate rather than carrying load current directly. Its RS-485 port uses the CompoWay/F protocol, which is Omron's standard serial command set for PLC and HMI integration — no Modbus mapping required if the host already speaks CompoWay/F. The built-in heater fault detection monitors current draw on each zone and flags a broken heater or SSR short before the process drifts — a feature that saves scrap on continuous thermal processes like extrusion or packaging seal bars.
