Safety controller with integrated delay and AND logic
The Omron G9SX-AD322-T150-RC DC24 is a general-purpose safety controller rated to Category 4, PLe, SIL3 — the highest performance level for safety circuits under ISO 13849 and IEC 62061. It provides six solid-state safety outputs and two auxiliary solid-state outputs, driven by two digital inputs, with a built-in delay timer adjustable from 0 to 150 seconds and logical AND I/O capability.
The SIL3 / PLe / Cat.4 rating means this unit can be used in safety functions up to the highest risk-reduction level — think emergency-stop circuits, light curtains, or two-hand controls on presses. The six solid-state safety outputs are internally monitored for cross faults and short circuits; the two auxiliary outputs are also solid-state but not safety-rated — they can drive a PLC input or indicator lamp. The 0-150 s delay is configurable via a front-panel potentiometer, useful for muting or delayed restart sequences. Supply is 24 VDC nominal; spring terminals speed wiring and eliminate screw-torque checks. Approvals include CE, CSA, cULus, SUD, TUV, and UL — covers most global panel certifications without extra paperwork.
Integration notes
Spring terminals accept 0.2–2.5 mm² solid or ferruled stranded wire; strip length 8 mm. The delay timer is set by a rotary switch on the front — no software needed. Logical AND I/O means you can cascade multiple G9SX units for expanded input count or muting logic without an external PLC. The six safety outputs are solid-state (PNP, 24 VDC, 0.5 A each typical) — verify load type; they do not switch AC or high DC currents. The two auxiliary outputs are also solid-state, 0.5 A each, and share the same supply rail.
