Safety unit with configurable OFF-delay
The Omron G9SX-ADA222-T15-RC is a Flexible Safety Unit from the Advanced ADA series, designed for applications needing a timed safe stop. It operates on a 24 VDC supply with a tolerance of −15% to 10% of rated voltage, so it holds through dips down to 20.4 VDC and rides through surges to 26.4 VDC. The unit provides two instantaneous safety outputs and two OFF-delayed safety outputs, each rated for 1 A DC when using two or fewer outputs, derating to 0.8 A DC when all three or more are loaded. This is a P-channel MOS FET transistor output — solid-state, not relay contacts — so it switches quietly and lasts longer in high-cycle applications. The OFF-delay is factory-set to a maximum of 15 seconds, which covers common machine-guarding scenarios like a press brake or robot cell where the hazardous motion must stop within a timed window after the guard opens.
